Relativistic Contribution of the Final-state Interaction to Deuteron Photodisintegration

چکیده
The contribution of the final-state interaction to the differential cross-section of deuteron photodisintegration at laboratory photon energies below 50 MeV is analyzed in the framework of Bethe–Salpeter formalism with a phenomenological rankone separable interaction. The approximations made are the neglect of two-body exchange currents, negative-energy components of the bound-state vertex function and the scattering T matrix. It has been found that the gross effect of the finalstate interaction with J 6 1 comes from the net contributions of the spin-triplet final states and spin-singlet 1S 0 -state. The relativistic results are compared with the nonrelativistic ones in every partial-wave channel. It is found that the relativistic effects change the magnitude of the final-state interaction from several percent to several tens of percent.

Relativistic Contributions to Deuteron Photodisintegration in the Bethe–Salpeter Formalism
In plane wave one-body approximation the reaction of deuteron photodisintegration is considered in the framework of the Bethe–Salpeter formalism for two-nucleon system. Results are obtained for deuteron vertex function, which is the solution of the homogeneous Bethe–Salpeter equation with a multi-rank separable interaction kernel, with a given analytical form. A comparison is presented with pre...

In this paper, we have investigated the kaon-deuteron interaction at an incident momentum of 1 GeV/c using the relativistic and non-relativistic Faddeev method for different phenomenological and chiral potentials. By calculating the π∑ invariant mass spectra on different particle channels, we have shown that the trace of Λ(1405) resonance is visible in such spectra. In the present work, the st...
متن کاملRole of relativity and nucleon compositeness in few-body systems
Recent progress is reviewed in four areas where new experimental data have been obtained: proton-proton bremsstrahlung, threshold pion production in proton-proton collisions, elastic electron-deuteron scattering and deuteron photodisintegration at several GeV photon energy. Relativistic effects are expected to be significant in these processes. High energy photodisintegration suggests that part...
متن کاملRelativistic Contributions to the Photon Asymmetry in Deuteron Photodisintegration
The cross section asymmetry Σ in deuteron disintegration with linearly polarized light is considered in the framework of the Bethe-Salpeter formalism. Relativistic contributions to the asymmetry are investigated within the approximation, which takes into account the one-body part of the electromagnetic current operator and the dominant positive-energy partial amplitudes of the Bethe-Salpeter ve...
متن کاملOn the Gerasimov - Drell - Hearn sum rule for the deuteron
The Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rule is evaluated for the deuteron by explicit integration up to a photon energy of 550 MeV including contributions from the photodisintegration channel and from coherent and incoherent single pion production as well. The photodisintegration channel converges fast enough in this energy range and gives a large negative contribution, essentially from the 1 S 0 resona...
